The short version
We keep cookies to a minimum — essential storage only, and we currently run no analytics product. We don't use advertising cookies, cross-site trackers, or anything that builds a marketing profile of you.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website can store in your browser. Some are essential for a site to work; others help measure how a site is used. "Cookies" here also covers similar technologies like local storage and edge analytics identifiers.
How we use them
WorkShift Jobs is built to need very little. You don't log in, you don't have an account, and there's no shopping cart or personalization to remember. As a result, we use only a narrow set of cookies and similar storage:
What's actually set
As of the date above: nothing. This site sets no cookies at all — first-party or third-party — and stores nothing in your browser's local storage. The filter on the jobs page works in the page itself and forgets everything when you leave. The categories above describe the only kinds of storage we would ever use; today the honest list of names is empty.
If this ever drifts from what the site actually sets, the site is wrong and we want to know: privacy@workshiftjobs.com.
What we don't do
- No advertising cookies. We don't run ad networks or retargeting pixels.
- No cross-site tracking. We don't follow you around the web or sell behavioral data.
- No analytics product. We currently run none; if that ever changes, this page will name the tool and what it measures before it goes live.
Clicking "Continue to apply" is recorded on our servers for billing and fraud detection, because employers pay us per click. That record is server-side and doesn't depend on cookies, so blocking cookies won't stop it — see Section 4 of our Privacy Policy for what it contains and how long we keep it.
Managing cookies
You're in control. Every major browser lets you view, block, or delete cookies in its settings, and most offer a private/incognito mode. Blocking non-essential cookies won't stop you from browsing or applying for jobs — the core site works fine without them. If your browser or an extension sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) or Do Not Track signal, we honor it by keeping non-essential measurement off for that visit. You don't need to do anything else, and we don't show you a consent banner to click through, because there's nothing here to consent to beyond what the site needs to function.
Visitors in the EU and UK
We set only strictly necessary storage and run no analytics, so no consent banner is required under EU/UK ePrivacy rules.
Third-party services
Our hosting and content-delivery providers may set their own strictly-functional cookies to serve and secure the site. When you click "Apply" and leave for an employer's website, that site's own cookie practices apply — see their policy.
Changes
If our cookie use changes, we'll update this page and the date above.
