Your day will mostly be spent at a desk in a climate-controlled office environment, working on computers and making calls. Expect occasional walks to the production floor or warehouse to check material availability or resolve issues, where noise levels can be moderate.
Pay & market
Automation Exposure
Moderate — 30% task overlap with automation
Your main automation exposure is in routine patient reminders, appointment scheduling, and basic information dissemination, where AI-powered chatbots or automated systems can handle initial contacts. However, your clinical judgment, complex patient education, and empathetic communication for nuanced follow-ups remain highly resistant to automation for the foreseeable future.
Benefits Quality
Health: 85% covered · 401k: 4% match · PTO: 18 days · Professional development budget
Expect solid benefits, typically with health insurance covering 85% of premiums and a 401k match around 4%. A key perk to negotiate is a dedicated professional development budget, as many companies will fund APICS certifications or other supply chain training.

$1,250/yr in performance bonuses
Beyond base salary, workers in this field in Louisiana can typically expect to earn additional income through performance-based bonuses, often tied to efficiency or project completion.

Interviewers will heavily test your ability to solve complex, real-world production problems under pressure, often through detailed scenario-based questions like 'How would you handle a sudden 20% increase in demand with limited capacity?' They also assess your communication skills, looking for how effectively you can convey technical plans to non-technical teams.
